The Joglo Clubhouse Community
Our daughter is usually very shy, but she made friends almost right away. Every day after school she came home so happy and couldn’t wait to tell us all about what happened. She also kept saying how kind and warm the teachers are, and that she didn’t want to leave.
Since it was her first time attending school in another country, we were a bit nervous too, but the team was very caring and thoughtful with both our child and us as parents.
We’re very thankful for this wonderful experience and would absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Since our beginnings in 2020, we have consistently delivered a dynamic and well-rounded education to primary school students from all over the world. Our core offerings are fun and flexibility, with a significant helping of academic excellence, and most of all, heaps of truly unforgettable student experiences!
Emotional well-being
We understand that, most importantly, children must enjoy their school life, and that’s why at Joglo Clubhouse School our approach is centered around positive relationships and a range of fun activities, that inspire creative problem-solving and a passion for learning.

We firmly believe in a student-centered approach – not tied down to any one method or curriculum, and that means we are flexible. We can adapt our approach to suit your child on an individual basis.
Most importantly – students are not held to any one standard or pushed through meaningless, arbitrary assessments or frameworks, which in the end can cause anxiety and build internal resistance to their educational journey.

What kind of school is Joglo Clubhouse?
Joglo Clubhouse is a small, informal school that combines engaging academics with wholesome outdoor fun and unforgettable real-world experiences. With our flexible enrollment options, our students benefit from mixing together long-term residents and short-term visitors.
Will my child be ok if he/she doesn’t speak much English?
Yes, absolutely. We always have students that aren’t fluent in English – this is Bali! The language used at the school is English, but by eliminating any serious pressure to perform, and adding a whole lot of fun, students who aren’t fluent build confidence and thrive, and end up with friends from all over the world!
What ages does Joglo Clubhouse accept?
We accept students between 4-11 years old, but we are flexible in this regard. If a student younger or older comes for a trial and it suits them, then we are open to accepting them. A trial day can turn into one week’s enrollment, just to be sure.
Is Joglo Clubhouse an international school, or more of a homeschool support space?
Joglo Clubhouse is not an official International School, but we do provide something of a standard schooling experience, with teachers leading classes in a full range of primary school subjects based on the Cambridge International curriculum. Because of our flexible part-time enrollment option, home-schoolers can choose any number of days to come in and enjoy a wonderful social life, and visiting world-schoolers can enroll their children for any length of time.
I’m a world-schooling parent – can my child join for just a few weeks while we’re visiting or living in Bali short-term?
Absolutely. We have a weekly enrollment option that is perfect for short-term visitors.
Is there a free trial day?
Yes. New students can join one free trial day, after registration, subject to availability. Trial days are usually available from Monday to Thursday and must be arranged in advance.
What is the digital device policy?
Joglo Clubhouse has a strict digital device policy – mobile phones are strictly prohibited and must be kept inside student bags at all times. As we use IXL to supplement Math and English progress, students are free to bring a tablet or laptop, and these are locked away by the teachers for the full day, only brought out under strict supervision, only returned when the students go home at the end of the day. Students can contact their parents through the school’s WhatsApp number, and if parents give permission, they can be in touch directly through their own phone, again under supervision. We believe as a school we have a responsibility to demonstrate to our students that the digital devices we use are for productive purposes primarily, not just for fun.
